Working within the Capital Delivery Anglia Signaling portfolio, delivering a number of small to medium sized projects.

Scheme Project Managers work across Network Rails’ entire infrastructure investment portfolio, from minor renewals to complex multi-disciplinary programmes. Responsible for managing the safe and efficient delivery of low complexity projects (LoC 3 and 4) OR working as part of a multi-disciplinary team supporting the project or program manager delivering key results of complex projects and programs (LoC 1 and 2) to meet customer requirements for time, cost, quality, and performance.

Transportation Systems Project

1. Responsible for the delivery of low complexity projects or parts of complex projects in a safe and environmentally responsible manner on time, cost and quality, in accordance with the Governance of Railway Investment Projects (GRIP ), applicable Network Rail standards, applicable law and procedures, including HMRI guidelines, where applicable.
2. Support the project sponsor in the preparation and updating of project requirements definitions.
3. Manage multidisciplinary teams including commercial, program control, engineering and other teams to identify solutions to customer requirements and establish a solid baseline plan.
4. Identify and monitor project risks (threats and opportunities), plan and implement mitigation measures, and respond to other issues that affect the project
5. Implement and update resource allocation plans necessary to complete the project, including the identification and management of critical resource requirements. Secure project resources from internal and external sources.
6. Manage stakeholders taking into account their level of influence and their specific interests.
7. Manage project reviews at appropriate times throughout the project life cycle, which will inform project governance decisions by providing assessments of progress, performance, risk, contingencies and ongoing relevance .
8. Establish and implement, as required, protocols to modify the scope of projects and update configuration documents as required.
9. Support accident investigations when assigned to the appropriate Designated Competent Person.

Essential
• University degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
• Membership (or in the process of membership) of the Association for Project Management.
• Achieved PRINCE2 Foundation or equivalent.
• Good stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Successful relevant experience, including experience in contracting and delivering projects.
• Knowledge and experience of project budget management.
• Good assessment and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of project safety management and health and safety legislation.
• Knowledge of security cases in support of projects.
