Program Management Office (PMO), iSolutions Department
Project manager – CDD 12 months
The University’s IT department, iSolutions, is looking for the right people to deliver projects that change the way the University uses IT to work. We need experienced and dynamic project managers to carry out our IT projects. If that’s you, then we’d love to hear from you.
You will join our PMO to manage a range of important IT projects, for a diverse community of over 20,000 students and over 5,500 academic staff.
Working within the IT portfolio, you will deliver a range of IT projects designed to facilitate ways of working and provide a better online environment by reducing the complexity of IT systems.
You will already have project management experience, including end-to-end delivery of at least one project with a significant business change. Ideally, you will also have worked on a project requiring a technical integration and/or data migration element.
You will have a highly professional approach and demonstrable strengths in project planning and team leadership. You will demonstrate excellent communication skills appropriate to a wide range of internal stakeholders. Experience in managing technical deliveries from a supplier is essential. You will be able to build, manage and motivate diverse project teams in a matrix management environment. You will be professional, think clearly under pressure, and be a role model within the PMO.
You will have a level of skill and experience equivalent to a graduate degree. PRINCE2 Foundation or equivalent is desirable.
This position is offered on a full-time, fixed-term basis of 12 months.
