Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of comparable experience in a design firm

• Degree (arch) from an accredited institution

• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel

• BSSW was an early adopter of BIM and uses Revit on all projects

• Additional writing, illustration and rendering experience is required

• Ability to engage in a collaborative workplace, which may involve working alongside other architects and maintaining professional relationships with clients

• Bachelor’s degree (compulsory)

• Revit: 1 year (mandatory)

• Architecture: 2 to 5 years (compulsory)

Responsibilities
• Project Coordinator and Project Manager positions provide unlicensed or developing architects/managers the opportunity to coordinate the production and delivery of design documents for a variety of client types and projects

• In this role, they acquire the necessary experience and develop the skills required to evolve into the role of project architect or project manager

• Responsible for specific design tasks requiring research, evaluation and adaptation to assigned projects

• Perform tasks with minimal supervision coordination with consulting engineers and interior designers, and quality control reviews of drawings and documents

• Coordination with engineers while maintaining BIM files throughout the life of the project

• Coordinate with the project team to assemble comprehensive document sets and assist in their distribution

• Develop clear and detailed reports, responses and specifications as directed

• Project Manager responsibilities include but are not limited to field reports, meeting minutes, newsletters/stories, FGI/code analysis, submittals/shop drawings, responses to AHJ comments

• Project Manager to assemble drawings for QA/QC review and assist with bidding and RFI processes

• Transmit documents to clients, contractors and engineers as required

• Develop computer-generated renderings

• Investigate and troubleshoot code issues, implement solutions as appropriate

• Accurately document, inspect and measure projects involving existing buildings to ensure accuracy of future drawings

• Understand the production requirements, phasing and budget monitoring necessary for the success and profitability of the project

• Tasks are performed under the general supervision of one of the firm’s principals or senior project managers
