In connection with a capital murder charge stemming from the Jan. 15 death of Jamea Harris, former Alabama basketball player Darius Miles appeared in a Tuscaloosa court on Tuesday for a hearing.
As revelations from the trial began to surface, Nate Oats was asked at his regular press conference about Miller’s alleged involvement in the crime. “We knew it,” Oats said. “I can’t control everything someone does outside of training. No one knew this was going to happen. The college boys came out, Brandon didn’t have any kind of trouble or any kind of trouble in this case. Wrong place at the wrong time.
However, the Alabama men’s basketball coach apologized after the media widely criticized his response on Tuesday night.
