People have argued that Jamie Foxx is one of the most talented people in entertainment. Foxx’s range is unparalleled in his career as a musician, actor and comedian. However, the conversation about multi-faceted artists cannot be complete without mentioning Donald Glover.
Glover, who also goes by the name Childish Gambino, is an actor, singer/rapper, and comedian. While the depth of his career doesn’t go that far back, that doesn’t detract from the quality of his work.
The actor and comedian could be seen on shows like “Community” or his cultural classic, “Atlanta.” The range of differences between the characters he portrays in each show proves his acting prowess.
The multi-hyphenate also gave people musical staples like “Stay Woke,” “This is America,” and “Feels Like Summer.”
For his music, Glover has won five Grammys, including Song of the Year in 2019. He also won two Emmys for his self-created show, “Atlanta.”
With so many accolades under his belt, it makes sense that Glover went on to build a fortune worth $35 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.
Childish Gambino has more than secured his inheritance for his wife and three children. At one point, the comedian had two La Cañada Flintridge homes — a far cry from his humble beginnings.
During his Comedy Central special, Glover gave the crowd a glimpse into his childhood. In it, he explained how he grew up, some financial challenges the family faced, and how he overcame those hardships.
Fast forward to an interview Glover did with Jimmy Kimmel, the “Awaken My Love” singer made a very healthy first purchase of his first big check – Gushers.
According to BuzzFeed, Donald Glover revealed on an episode of “Live with Jimmy Kimmel!” how candy was an essential purchase on his first big paycheck.

Glover: “I had more money than all my friends, but, you know, you don’t spend it well. You are too young.”
Kimmel: “Why did you spend it?”
Glover: “Like, Gushers.”
After sharing a laugh, Donald Glover explained that he wasn’t allowed to have candy. So, this was her chance to let off steam on some sweet treats.
