MVMC EVENT: The Mahoning Valley Manufacturers Coalition will host Ron Klonowski of Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities at their Tuesday roundtable to launch MVMC’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Series. “hidden workers”.

MERIDIAN LAUNCHES NEW WEBSITE: Meridian HealthCare recently launched a completely redesigned website that highlights new service offerings and enhances the user experience.

The change coincides with Meridian’s goal of providing integrated healthcare for personal health and well-being while providing a simplified and more intuitive user experience for members and providers, according to the company.

The updated website at meridianhealthcare.net provides visitors with a seamless experience, the company said. Visitors will notice a patient portal for appointments, simplified navigation, and updated resources focused on community education and support.

Meridian HealthCare partnered with iSynergy, a Canfield-based digital marketing agency, to develop the website and to activate the project with an advertising campaign centered around the concept of “hope.”

QUICKMED RECEIVES GRANT: QUICKmed Urgent Care was chosen as the only for-profit organization to receive a grant from the Ohio Department of Health and Ohio Department of Education to expand the number of centers school health services in eligible schools.

QUICKmed will partner with the Salem City School District in Columbiana County and the local Liberty School District in Trumbull County to set up medical clinics on their campuses.

The $1.8 million awarded to QUICKmed, Salem City and Liberty school districts will extend through 2024 and cover operating and capital expenses. Services available at the clinics will include medical, dental, mental health, audiology and ophthalmology services. Clinics will be open during school hours and accessible to students, staff and families.

Medical services are free for uninsured students and there is no insurance requirement for family members.

Funding for the grant is provided by the American Rescue Plan Act with additional funds available through the Governor’s Educational Emergency Relief Fund.

McDONALD’S RAISES FUNDS FOR INJURED WORKER: TomTreyCo McDonald’s, one of the nation’s largest franchisees, has helped raise more than $30,000 for McDonald’s manager Stephanie Tubb, who was seriously injured when she was hit by a garbage truck on her way to work at a McDonald’s on foot Sharon, Pa.

The owner-operators of Mahoning Valley McDonald’s also participated in the fundraising effort, according to a press release.

Because of the accident, Tubb had to have both legs amputated above the knee.

TACO RESTAURANT OPENS: Columbus-based Condado Tacos will open its 33rd location June 23 in Boardman at 1051 Boardman Poland Road. This will be the chain’s 17th location in Ohio.

The 4,645 square foot restaurant will accommodate 216 people, including 166 seats in the dining room, 25 at the bar and 25 on the outdoor terrace.

During Condado’s grand opening celebration at Boardman, the first 100 guests in line at the restaurant will receive a “Yum Year” a free taco every week for an entire year and will also receive a “Yum Year” Original t-shirt designed by the artist in a limited edition.

REAL ESTATE AGENT JOINS THE COMPANY: Coldwell Banker EvenBay Real Estate has added real estate agent Gerry Brown to its team of real estate professionals.
