Alex Jones’ Net Worth Reaches $270 Million, Trial Expert Claims

AUSTIN, Texas — After four hours of deliberation, a jury on Friday awarded two Sandy Hook parents defamed by Alex Jones $45.2 million in punitive damages.

Jones was not in the courtroom when the verdict was read.

The award comes a day after the same jury asked Jones to pay parents $4.1 million for intentionally inflicting the mental anguish they endured during years of Jones’ Infowars shows which claimed that the death of their son Jesse in the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting was a “hoax” by “crisis actors”.

This means the parents will receive $49.3 million in total damages. That’s about $100 million less than the parents’ demand of $150 million — $1 in compensation and $1 in punishment for the roughly 75 million Americans who experts say don’t believe or doubt. that the shooting took place.

“I think he was held responsible,” said Scarlett Lewis, mother of 6-year-old Jesse Lewis, who was killed in the Sandy Hook massacre. “And I hope he really takes that to heart because at the end of the day, love is a choice, and what he says, lies, hate, fear, it’s also a choice, and I think sometimes we have to be aware that we have a choice and hope that in the future it will choose love.

Alex Jones’ attorney challenged the verdict on the grounds that Texas had a cap of $750,000 in punitive damages.

“I am confident that the judgment will properly comply with Texas law in this regard,” Judge Maya Guerra Gamble said.

The parents’ lawyer said he was ready to fight any cap.
